    14 km (by invitation only -VIP) 45km (Fun Ride), 90 km & Team Time Trial (TTT) 45km

  4. How many people in a team for Team Time Trial?

    A team consist a minimum of 4 people capped at 6 people

  5. How much is the registration fee for each category?

    45km- RM 140
    90km- RM 160
    TTT(45km) – Maximum of RM 1020 per team

  6. Is there any early bird discount?

    Yes, first month when the registration is opened at RM 120 for fun ride (45km), RM 140 for 90km and RM 150 for TTT

  7. Is there any insurance coverage?

    Yes, Public Liability Insurance under Tokio Marine

  8. What is the minimum age to participate?

    The minimum age to participate for Under 19 categories is 17 years old

  9. What are the bicycles allowed for the race?

    90km – Road race strictly road bike
    45km- Open for All
    TTT 45km- Strictly road bike and time trial bike only

  10. Can I change my jersey size after I have made my payment?

    No, all printings are done according to the size given. Any changes will incur cost

    No for TTT and 90km
    Yes for 45km (Fun Ride) category

  14. What is the cut off time for each category?

    Cut off time for 45km is 3 hours 0 minutes after the race has start
    Cut off time for 90km is 4 hours 0 minutes after the race has start
    Cut of time for each team participating in TTT is 2 hours 0 minutes after the team starts

    Every participant will receive a medal irrespective of finishing the race or not. The strict rules regarding cut off time is placed to adhere to the agreement made between Organisers and Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM)

  15. If I don’t have a license sanctioned by UCI, am I still eligible for women’s elite?

    Yes, this category is a combination of both elite and open. Women cyclist with or without UCI license are eligible to join this category.

    Women cyclist from the age of 19 years old and older are eligible to join this category.

  16. Do I need a UCI license or a temporary license to participate in MEX RIDE 2018?

    Yes, for cyclist who are joining the elite and U-19 category. It is not compulsory for cyclist participating in the open category

  17. Do I need to go through any bicycle inspection prior to the race?

    Yes, for cyclist who are participating in the U-19 category

    2 weeks to 3 days before event day

  1. What time do I need to be at the race?

    By 6am

  2. Where can I park my car?

    First 500 cyclists can park at RNR North Bound before 6am. After highway closure at 6am, cars to be parked at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and shuttles will transport cyclists to event venue.

  3. What is JCM?

    Junior Cycling Malaysia (JCM) is an initiative under Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) to promote cycling in Malaysia through the creation of a series of nationwide criterium races and supported rides.

  4. How does the point system work?

    The first, second, and third rider at every 5th lap gets 3, 2, 1 points respectively (with double points at final end sprint).
